NEW TRACK: “Gravediggress” By Coco Rosie

February 27, 2013

CocoRosieIn their ten years as CocoRosie, the sisters have released four albums: Grey Oceans (2010), The Adventures of Ghosthorse and Stillborn (2007), Noah’s Ark (2005), and their first album La Maison De Mon Rêve (2004) – each inspiring equal amounts of controversy, debate and praise.

With a strong creative vision running through every aspect of their work, CocoRosie are regarded not only for their music but also for their additional artistic endeavors, which is paramount to the sisters and often becomes a source of inspiration for their songwriting. In addition to hosting informal fashion shows, artist salons and poetry readings, Sierra has arranged and performed operas in Sydney, Amsterdam and London, while Bianca has exhibited her visual art around the world. This spring, the duo will unveil their collaborative efforts on a production of “Peter Pan,” commissioned by the Berliner Ensemble along with theatre director Robert Wilson. Later this year, Bianca will launch “Girls Against God,” an arts and letters print publication that keeps in line with the sisters’ personal feminist mission.

In addition to all of this, CocoRosie will be touring extensively around the world in 2013. For now, however, we leave you with Tales of a GrassWidow, their fifth musical offering, which showcases the sisters at their most inspired, creative and fearless.
